The Olive 's story...
The Olive was originally launched half a century ago
as replica of the the hardworking catboats of the late 19th century. The original boats were used for everything from fishing to ferries and, in Victorian times, sightseeing.
During the winter of 2020/2021 Captain Parker restored the vessel and modified her to a sloop rig for comfort and ease of handling. Parker named his new sloop after the original Olive he long admired from the post-Victorian era.
